It's All About DIRT

Marlene went to UNO the UNL, receiving a BA in Anthropology and MA in Archeology. She worked for various universities on digs in the Midwest...many summers were spent living in tents in the middle of nowhere, with a small group of people, a few rattlesnakes - digging DIRT.

Pottery classes were taken while writing reports. Grant money ended at the University of North Dakota as an apprenticeship became available st Springwood Pottery - so off to Minnesota she went to mix clay and sweep DIRT.

After the apprenticeship, she moved back to Nebraska to be close to family, make high fire pottery and work in Landscaping, planting in DIRT.

The pottery is fired in electric or gas kilns. The electric kiln allows for consistent slip work while gas firing promotes movement and mixing of glazes. All functional pottery can go into the microwave, oven and dishwasher.

Whether we dig it, mix it, sweep it, plant in it or throw pots with it - We Love DIRT.
