Joanne is a native Nebraska artist and teacher. She is mostly a self taught artist.  She has received numerous awards for her artwork and has held workshops and taught art classes since 1975.  Her career as an artist has been a combination of learning and sharing her love of art.

Her works in oils reflect a variety of subjects, many inspired by her growing up in Nebraska.  Joanne's rich colors produced from transparent glazes and opaque overlays are reminiscent of her love for the turn of the century realistic and impressionistic French painters.  Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and her works have been displayed at several midwestern galleries.
