After receiving my BFA in sculpture from Bellevue University, I started looking for a way to introduce glass into my metal work. I took a lampworking class (glass bead making) and a fused glass class in 2000. Instead of incorporating my glass work into my metal sculptures I started creating jewelry.
I have taken many glass workshops and classes from glass masters throughout the years. Recently I have found a new glass (borosilicate) to create my glass pendants and hearts. The pendants look like miniature paperweights and my hearts have a watercolor effect in the glass.
My newest fused glass creations are the tree of life pendants and dichroic engraved pendants. Glass is ever changing and that's what keeps it so interesting to me.
My work can be found at the Passageway Gallery, Omaha art shows, and the Hot Shops Art Center in Studio 102.
